Steve had been in the industry his entire professional career, and developed a unique business plan to start his own company. His goal was to provide industry-leading products and service to residential and commercial customers throughout central Illinois.

Steve carefully chose four of the area’s most experienced tradesmen to join his company, and immediately, their plan was put into action. It was a plan which, today, seems simple. But this is how all great companies start! Align the best people, with the most reliable products, and honor each commitment made to every customer.

Since the inception of the company, Air King has stayed committed to one of the industry’s most respected lines of equipment, American Standard. ­e nation’s leading consumer magazine has looked at products within the heating and air conditioning industry seven times in the history of its printing, and in each of these re-views, consumers have rated American Standard #1. No other brand can say that! ­American Standard brand is known for being #1 in reliability and innovation, delivering the highest level of comfort to homeowners.

Today, Air King has grown significantly from its humble beginnings and primarily serves four markets: Decatur, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, and Springfield‑, as well as every rural community in between. Even though the company has grown significantly to 28 qualified and dedicated employees, the founding principles have stayed firmly intact.
